This happens due to a real-time synchronization issue caused by high demand. It can occur when only the last tickets of a specific price tier remain available and a large number of users are trying to complete their payment at exactly the same time.
How does this process work?
- The allocation sells out at the last second: If the system allows you to enter your bank details but, at the exact moment your bank processes the payment, other users have already purchased the last tickets available at that price tier, the purchase is automatically cancelled because there is no longer any stock available.
- Automatic and immediate refund: Since your tickets cannot be issued, the software blocks the transaction for security reasons and automatically refunds 100% of the amount (including the booking fees).
- Refund processing time: Depending on your bank, the money will be released back to your account or card within 24 to 72 business hours. It will usually appear as a reversed charge or as a release of the temporarily held balance.
What if you don't see the refund?
If after 3 business days you still see the charge as confirmed on your bank statement and the amount has not been returned, please contact us immediately at support@fourvenues.com, attaching your bank receipt or statement in PDF format, so that we can manually review your case and resolve it as quickly as possible.
