What happens if I open a dispute or chargeback with my bank?

Modified on Wed, 19 Aug at 10:46 AM

A bank dispute (also known as a chargeback) is a mechanism that banks offer their customers to challenge a charge they consider unauthorized or fraudulent.

If you have an issue with your purchase, we recommend that you always contact our Support team or the event organizer before starting this process with your bank.

How does a dispute affect your tickets and your purchase?

  • Manual ticket review: Opening a dispute does not automatically cancel your tickets. However, our team will manually review your purchase together with the venue's refund and cancellation policy. If it is determined that the claim is not valid under the terms you accepted when purchasing, your tickets may be cancelled.
  • Can a refund be issued if the dispute is already open? Yes. If, after reviewing your case, the team determines that a refund is appropriate, it will be processed directly by accepting the dispute through the banking system. There is no need to make external transfers or process separate manual refunds; the dispute process itself will handle the return of the funds.

Recommendation before filing a dispute with your bank:
The resolution process for a bank dispute can be lengthy and depends on the internal processing times of each financial institution (it may take several weeks). If you made a purchase by mistake, do not recognize a charge, or have experienced an issue with your tickets, contact our Support team first. In most cases, we can provide a solution much faster than your bank.
